NEWARK, October 23-- The Newark College of Engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology will host its fifth annual career day for high school students, Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002. Students and teachers meet NJIT faculty and students, tour the campus and laboratories, see demonstrations, and participate in hands-on-activities.

The program also offers high school students more information about specific engineering fields of study at NJIT. The fields include biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, civil and environmental engineering, electrical and computer engineering, industrial and manufacturing engineering and mechanical engineering.

Last year more than 600 students participated who are enrolled in both private and public high schools. To learn more about participating in this year’s event, contact your local high school guidance counselor.
