Programs for Guidance Counselors
As a professional development provider registered
with the NJDEA #189, NJIT
is hosting a professional development workshop for guidance
counselors who will earn a total of 5 Professional Development hours.
Where: NJIT, Newark, NJ

Costs: $40.00 registration fee includes lunch and materials.
Program Overview
Join middle and high school guidance counselors from around the state at the
3rd annual Professional Development Guidance Counselor Workshop run by the
Center for Pre-College Programs at NJIT. An overview of STEM (science, technology,
engineering and mathematics) careers will be presented along with the college
admission process, financial aid and EOP(Education Opportunity Program) eligibility
and resources.
Sessions will cover applications of technology in education and the Medibotics
program, a program that uses robotic surgery to introduce middle and high school
students to topics in medicine, robotics, information technology, mathematics,
and science. There will be a student panel to discuss their experiences as
NJIT students.
