New NJIT Online Events CalendarThe new NJIT online university calendar is on the NJIT Web page. Access the NJIT Web page at www.njit.edu and select NJIT Events Calendar. Events scheduled for the day will automatically appear or another date can be selected by using the calendar grid. When selecting a specific event, additional information will be given. Staff in the Hazell Center, Alumni Center, Fleisher Athletic Center, Guttenberg Information Technologies Center, School of Architecture and the Registrars Office are scheduling and posting events using Universal Algorithms Resource 25 computer event scheduling software. Many NJIT offices and organizations are posting information about university events on this user-friendly, interactive calendar through the room reservation process in these areas. When a reservation is confirmed by one of the areas listed above, the information automatically appears in the online NJIT Events Calendar. For events not occurring in these areas (ie. departmental conference rooms), an online form is available through the NJIT Events Calendar to advertise an event. Using the NJIT Events Calendar can determine if there is a conflict or if a particular space or date is available for an activity. The NJIT Events Calendar can even provide a link to a Web page with more information about an event. In addition to helping with event planning, the NJIT Events Calendar sends a positive message about NJITs research, cultural, corporate and community involvements to potential students and alumni throughout the world. Only one thing is needed to make the calendar a success university participation! By making a reservation in one of the areas listed above, an event will automatically be listed in the calendar. If an event is scheduled in other spaces, use the online form at the end of the NJIT Events Calendar. To access this form, you will need to acquire password and user guidelines from Donna Minnich, Hazell Center director, ext. 3603 or at minnich@adm.njit.edu. Only one password will be issued per department.
