Campus Construction Update
The campus center construction project has relocated the alumni staff to Guttenberg Information Technologies Center 2400 to secure the Wilson Alumni Center for removal of asbestos materials. The Wilson Alumni Center will then be demolished to facilitate a four-story building which will house new kitchen facilities, serving area, women's center, student offices and other campus functions. The major steps to be undertaken in the next two months include:
Site plans will be posted at Cullimore Hall and the Hazell Center. In addition, as part of continuing improvements to the campus, eight underground oil storage tanks are being abandoned in place. There will be several dozen oil tankers and concrete slurry trucks in place for this project. Public Safety will be present in controlling activities at each tank site when required.
