NJIT Community Response To Tragedy

Dear Community Member,

The devastating tragedy of the attacks on the World Trade Center and U.S. Pentagon go beyond our worst nightmares.

We, in the NJIT community, are now challenged to take care of one another. Many within our community, faculty, students, staff, are facing the loss of family and loved ones. We have personal knowledge of friends and colleagues lost. Please reach out to everyone, to those who are directly and personally affected, to those who fear wrongful retribution, and to those struggling to direct their anger constructively rather than destructively. Any student, faculty or staff member is asked to inform one of the following persons if you have been directly affected by this tragedy.

• Ralph Arend, associate dean of students, (973) 596-3466, Arend@njit.edu
• Leroy Thomas, associate dean of students, (973) 596-3470, Thomas@njit.edu
• Dean Conrad, RN, director of Employee Assistance Program, (973) 596-3293, Conrad@njit.edu

Sincerely,

Dr. Saul K. Fenster
President, NJIT
