Men's Soccer (3-8): The NJIT men's soccer team had something to celebrate after snapping a five-game losing streak with two dramatic victories. NJIT defeated Dominican (N.Y.) College, 2-1, in overtime, Tuesday, Oct. 9, before defeating Caldwell College, 3-2, on a goal with 45 seconds remaining in regulation play, Saturday, Oct. 13.

The heroics came from a familiar source at the Oct. 9 game, as junior transfer Christopher Wilson kicked in the game-winner, his seventh goal of the season, with 1:27 remaining in the first overtime.

Freshman Kevin Rojas-Britto scored his first collegiate goal and game-winner, Saturday, Oct. 13. Both winning goals were assisted by free kicks from Cherno Cham, who now has a team-high six assists this season.

"This week (Oct. 7) was a big lift for our team," said fourth-year head coach Ricky Hill. "We've already been on the downside of a couple of games like that this year. Now we have to try to continue in the same mode and win the games left on our schedule that we're capable of winning."
