First Floor

Student Information Center

One computer terminal is available in the main lounge to check class times, locations, and sections, grades and registration "holds".

Dining Room

The Dining Room is an "all you can eat" facility for students provided by Gourmet Dining Services.  In addition to daily specials, the dining room features a salad bar, cereal bar, ice-cream and dessert bars, a deli station and carving station.  Special theme meals are planned several times each semester. Director’s Office

The Director of the Hazell Center, Donna Minnich, is located in room 104 (by the Information Desk). She is available to assist with questions about usage of the Hazell Center and student activities.  She can be reached at (973) 596-3603 or donna.minnich@njit.edu.

Fax Services

Fax service is available in room 105 (behind the Information Desk) from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.  Fax's are restricted to the Continental USA.  The cost to send a fax is $3.00 for up to 3 pages (including cover sheet), and $1.00 for each additional page.  Fax's may be received for $.50 per page.  The fax number is (973) 596- 2974.

Information Desk

The Information Desk provides phone numbers, directions, and information regarding NJIT campus events.  Campus telephone and phone number directories are also located here.  The Information Desk can be reached at (973) 596-3605.

Mail Service

U.S. postage stamps can be purchased from a machine at the Student Information Center in the main lounge. A campus/U.S. mail slot is located at the Information Desk.  Mail is picked up by 10:30 AM Monday through Friday. Student organization mailboxes are located behind the Information Desk. 

Vending Machines

Pepsi and L.A. Foods provide the university with snack, juice, soda and change machines throughout the campus.  For refunds for snacks and beverages, contact Dottie Wright in Hazell room 105 (behind the information desk) at (973) 596-3601 or dorothy.wright@njit.edu.  Refunds are available Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. 

Video / DVD Movie Rentals

Want to rent a movie or video game withouthaving to leave campus? NJIT is the first university in the USA to feature Media Vendor's new video/DVD rental machine! Located by the Food Court entrance, this machine allows anyone to rent a movie or video gameby using their credit card or by purchasing a membership card from theInformation Desk. Second Floor

Miniversity Office

The Miniversity Office, room 201C, runs the first year student orientation program.  During the summer, students spend two days at NJIT learning about the campus, registering for classes, getting their computers, and making friends. Murray Center for Women in Technology

The Murray Center for Women in Technology (MCWIT) sponsors a variety of programs designed to meet the needs of women at NJIT.  The facility is open to all students, faculty and staff.  The Center features a meeting room, resource library, and computer workstations.  For more information or to reserve the Women's Center meeting room, contact Talina Knox, Program Assistant, or Dr. Nancy Steffen-Fluhr or Anne Wiley, Co-Directors, or at (973) 596-4885.

Student Activities Office

The Associate Director of Student Activities, Bob Moran, is located in room 201A and can be reached at (973) 596-3606 or robert.moran@njit.edu.  He is responsible for overseeing and advising all undergraduate student clubs and organizations and assisting with planning activities for the campus community.

 

Third Floor

The Pub @ NJIT

The Pub @ NJIT features an extensive menu of deli sandwiches, grilled items and daily specials in a relaxed setting.  Students can use their meal cards to purchase food in The Pub.  The Pub, which is open to the entire NJIT community, also has a bar that responsibly serves beer and wine to adults at least 21 years old with proper identification.  In the evenings, the Pub provides entertainment that includes bands, magicians and comedians, as well as televising sporting and other events.  The Pub provides catering services and can be reserved for special events.  For more information, call (973) 596-3699.

Reservations Office

Reservations for meeting rooms, the ballroom, gallery, lounge, Green, volleyball court, barbecue grill, A-frames, and tables/chairs can be made by contacting Gloria Williams, Reservation Manager, in room 106 (by the Information Desk) at (973) 596-3600 or gloria.williams@njit.edu.  Please see the Reservations section for more information.

Faculty/Staff Dining Room

Gourmet Dining Service provides NJIT faculty, staff, and visitors the option of dining for lunch in a quieter atmosphere in the Faculty/Staff Dining Room.  A variety of hot and cold food items are offered for lunch Monday through Friday form 11:30am to 2:00pm.  The dining room is located in room 213 (behind the ballroom).

 

Fourth Floor

Stop-In Center

The Stop-In Center, room 484, is a student run organization sponsored by the Counseling Center.  Select students are trained as peer counselors to confidentially assist students with their concerns.  The Stop-In Center also provides a variety of brochures on issues important to students as well as bus/train schedules. Greek Life & Diversity Programs

The Associate Director for Greek Life & Diversity Programs, Albert Martinez, is located in room 103 (by the Information Desk).  He is available to assist with questions regarding NJIT's twenty-three fraternities and sororities, the Interfraternity/Sorority Council and the Order of Omega Greek Honor Society.  Albert is also responsible for developing diversity programs for the NJIT community.  He can be reached at (973) 596-5641 or albert.martinez@njit.edu.

Student Organization Area & Lounge

Leadership Programs and Resource Center

The Assistant Director for Leadership Programs and Student Activities, Lisa Pierce, and the Leadership Resource Center are located in room 210.  Lisa is available to assist all student organizations in planning leadership workshops and training for organization members.  The Leadership Resource Library features books, workshop packets, and videos to help develop student’s leadership skills.  For more information, contact Lisa Pierce at (973) 596-5243 or lisa.a.pierce@njit.edu.

Student Organizations Offices

Interfraternity/Sorority Council – the IFSC is the student organization that oversees all NJIT fraternities and sororities.  They are located in 211C and can be contacted at (973) 596-5418.

Graduate Student Association - GSA is the graduate student government at NJIT.  They sponsor seminars, trips, and social activities for graduate students. Contact them in room 207 at (973) 596-2993.

Nucleus - The Nucleus is the college yearbook that is published at the end of each Spring semester.  They are located in 211F and can be reached at (973) 596-3518.

Senior Class Committee - The Senior Class Committee plans activities including the semi-formal, ski trips, and pub nights. They are located in room 204 and can be reached at (973) 596-6452.

Student Activities Council - SAC is an organization that provides movies, trips, and activities for students.   Located in room 203A, they can be reached at (973) 596-3608.

Student Senate - Located in room 205, the Senate is the undergraduate student government of NJIT.  Everyone is welcome to attend their meetings every Wednesday at 2:30pm in room 217.  For more information contact them at (973) 596-5639.

Vector - The Vector, located in 203C, is the student newspaper that is published weekly during the academic year.  To get involved or to have something published contact them at (973) 596-3611.
