Abstract:

NJIT created the Office of University Web Services two years ago to bring new leadership and resources to bear on NJIT’s website during the kickoff of a multiyear redesign and relaunch. Jim will review the short history of NJIT’s website and organization. Jim will discuss the strategies and philosophies behind the management of an enterprise-wide website environment – including the argument for the positive opportunities for unintended consequences and how modern, forward-looking website management should facilitate and actively pursue unintended consequences as part of its strategy and design.
