Beginning during the 2006-2007 academic year, we started relaunching NJIT's website with a new design, information architecture, and in a new CMS.

Mar 2006

• mStoner was hired as a consultant for the web redesign project

Apr 2006

• mStoner conducted interviews on campus for their Strategic Discovery phase
• mStoner delivered the first draft of their strategy report, Relaunching NJIT.edu ( PDF file)

May 2006

Jun 2006

• the first Web Project Advisory Committee meeting was held

Jul 2006

• NJIT formed the office of University Web Services (UWS), reporting to President Bob Altenkirch
• mStoner delivered the second draft of their strategy report, Relaunching NJIT.edu ( PDF file)

Aug 2006

• mStoner began delivering content and designs

Sep 2006

• after several rounds of design feedback, exploration, and refinement a final design direction was chosen

Oct 2006

• mStoner transformed design into HTML templates and populated templates with content and images
• new Admissions, Financial Aid, and main NJIT homepage launched on Oct 27

Nov 2006

• mStoner tweaked and finalized the code (HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, etc.) post-launch
• UWS began translating finalized code into SiteStudio CMS templates
• mStoner continued design work on other NJIT pages

Jan 2007

• NJIT launched "NJIT on iTunes U" in partnership with ITMS and UIS

Feb 2007

• Student Life section relaunched
• Student Ambassador bios launched
• Presentation given to CAA (view presentation as PDF)
• vacant Web Developer and Web Architect positions filled

Mar 2007

• Presentation given to joint DL and TLT committees (view presentation as PDF)

• Launch new President's website
• Re-launch Registrar's website in new design and Site Studio CMS

• Launch School of Management website in first iteration of new design and in Site Studio CMS
• Flip NCE website to first iteration of new design

• Recoding of the NJIT homepage to accomodate Flash files
• Launch of NJIT.tv website

• Launch of first iteration improvement of depts of Biomedical Engineering and Chemical Engineering
