Winter Session Policies & Procedures

If you have any questions please contact the Office of the Registrar prior to the end of Winter Session registration.  Freshmen should contact the Center for First Year Students prior to the end of Winter Session registration.

Mathematics Courses Special Criteria

You are eligible to register for a math course during Winter Session if you meet the following conditions:

  • You receive a grade of B or lower in Math 107 and given a permit by the math department
  • You receive a grade of C or lower in Math 139 and given a permit by the math department
  • You receive a grade of D in Math 111, 112 you can repeat the course
  • If you earn a grade of F and wish to repeat the course you must receive permission from the math department clearing you for registration.

Once your final grade is known, register via the Highlander Pipeline.

Humanities Courses Special Criteria

You are eligible to register for Humanities 101 or 102 if you received a grade of D or F.

Physics Courses Special Criteria

Students registering for Physics courses will need to obtain a permit from the Physics Department.

Chemistry Courses Special Criteria

You are eligible to register for Chemistry 125 if you have taken the placement test and receive qualifying score.

Course Maximum

You can register for only one course.

Deferred Payment

Deferred payment of your winter session bill is available. If you choose to defer the tuition and fees and add them to your spring 2013 bill you must contact the Bursar’s Office in person no later than December 21st. The Bursar's Office is located in the Student Mall and is open M-F 8:30am-4:30pm.

Parking

Parking in the University Deck is free with a current NJIT ID during Winter Break
