Transfer Credit Evaluation Process

Step 1: Submit an official transcript for ALL colleges/universities attended to the NJIT Office of University Admissions. Then, your transcripts will be scanned and forwarded for review by an Office of the Registrar Transfer Credit Evaluator. Your initial transfer credit evaluation (transfer credits on NJIT academic transcript) will be completed. 

Step 2: Meet with an academic advisor to review your initial transfer credit evaluation. Identify any course(s) completed for which transfer credit was not initially awarded.

Step 3: AFTER Completing Steps 1 and 2, please fill out the Transfer Course Equivalency Request Form for an academic department evaluation of each course for which you did not receive transfer credit. Click on the link below to submit your transfer credit evaluation request.

** Completing the Transfer Course Equivalency Request Form does not guarantee that additional transfer credits will be awarded. You will be notified if your request is approved, denied or additional information is needed. **

Important Notes:

** If the academic department from which you need a transfer credit evaluation is not listed on the Transfer Course Equivalency Form, then please send your request via email as detailed on the following webpage: Transfer Credit Evaluation Department Contacts.

** INTERNATIONAL COURSEWORK: For courses completed outside of the United States of America, please submit a course syllabus and course description (in English) for each course along with a NACES member credit evaluation to Mr. Anthony Jackson at the address below.
