General Internships

General internships at NJIT are work experiences that may be related to a student’s major and provide a learning experience.  Work assignments vary in length, and most often coincide with a semester or the summer. Assignments may be paid or unpaid. At the discretion of the employer, a travel or meal allowance may be given in lieu of wages.

There is no formal faculty involvement in an internship, although a student may choose to consult a faculty member for advice and perspective on the work assignment.

Employers with internship positions may submit a job description.

RPP Awards for Employers

Dear NJIT Recruiter:

Thank you for choosing to recruit talent this past year through NJIT's Career Development Services. Hopefully, you were successful in adding NJIT students and or graduates to your organization.

We greatly appreciate your participation and are delighted to inform you that you are now eligible for inclusion at our Awards and Recognition Ceremony on Tuesday, April 24th. This annual event celebrates our top employers of graduates, co-ops, and interns, please view photos of last year's impressive event.

We'd like to consider your organization's hiring outcomes in all our categories! In addition to top hiring organizations, we look at trends and best practices to honor employers making a mark with NJIT students. To be eligible for consideration, simply submit your 2017 hiring results via your CDSlink account under “Report Hiring Data”  or send to Patrick Young by email. Please send information by Friday, March 9th.

We truly appreciate your partnership and look forward to receiving your information. Comprehensive knowledge of our students' and graduates' employment outcomes is vitally important information for us to receive. If you have already provided us with this information at some point last year, please consider this as an opportunity to update or run a comprehensive report from Jan 1 through Dec 31, 2017 for NJIT hires.  We will cross-check previously received results.

We look forward to continuing our recruiting relationship with you in 2018 and beyond. As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions and concerns that you may have.
