Q&A

I currently have a job posted at NJIT.  Do I have to do anything to keep it active?

All currently active jobs have been transferred into our new system at NJIT called CDSlink.  We encourage you to log in to review the posting(s) and familiarize yourself with the system.  The expiration date of your current posting will remain the same as it appeared in our former system, CDS On-line.  Your active jobs will continue to be viewed by NJIT students and graduates, and you will continue to receive resumes of qualified candidates as we transition to CDSlink.

I do not have any current postings but anticipate openings in my firm.  What do I need to know?

Now is a good time to activate and update your account. This will ensure that the information listed for your organization is accurate. It will also reduce delays in having your job openings activated when you are ready to post them.  Log on to https://njit-csm.symplicity.com/employers/

I don’t have any upcoming needs.  Do I need to do anything now?

We encourage you to log in with the welcome email information to activate your account in CDSlink.
You will learn the advantages of our new system and recruit current students, recent graduates and alumni to your organization.

Is there a fee for your services?

No, NJIT’s CDS will continue to post jobs, internships, co-ops at no charge to employers.  As with our previous system, there is a fee to post jobs simultaneously to multiple schools.

If I have questions, whom do I call?

NJIT’s CDS staff members are available at 973-596-3227 or via email at cdsjobs@njit.edu

Diversity Inclusion

CDS Diversity Statement

A core value of NJIT is that our community of faculty, staff and students work and learn in an environment that celebrates our diversity and supports all those who are a part of the NJIT family. As outlined in NJIT’s strategic plan 2020 Vision, we recognize the need to respect differences and foster inclusiveness that enriches our campus culture and extends into the surrounding region.  NJIT draws students from over 100 countries and conducts extensive outreach to women and underrepresented populations in STEM disciplines. We are proud that Diverse: Issues in Higher Education has recognized NJIT as a top producer of minority STEM graduates, including a top 100 producer of Engineering degrees awarded to African-American and Hispanic students. In addition, NJIT enrolls 25% females in its 11,400 student enrollment, an outcome from our extensive pre-college programs which contribute to expansion of educational opportunities for young urban women and men. Career Development Services (CDS) works collaboratively with student groups such as the National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, the Society of Women Engineers, and the Veteran Students Association. We encourage all students to seek professional opportunities by strengthening their job search knowledge and skills and taking advantage of the resources that we have to offer.
