Faculty, staff, and students play an invaluable role in helping students who are in distress. Your expression of interest, concern, and compassion is an important factor toward a student seeking the assistance they need. The NJIT CARE Team is a campus resource dedicated to assisting students who may be in distress or experiencing challenging or difficult life circumstances. The CARE Team also provides consultation and intervention when students exhibit aggressive, concerning or disruptive behaviors. The primary focus of the team is to take a proactive approach in identifying students who are struggling and provide early intervention, resources, and referrals, both on campus and in the community.

The mission of the CARE Team is to offer assistance to students with referrals to campus and community resources, and assisting in the development of an action plan with the students. The goal is to assist the student, avert more serious difficulties, and ensure the safety of both the student and the NJIT community.
