What is LSAMP?

The LSAMP program is a National Science Foundation-funded program aimed at increasing the quality and quantity of students successfully completing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) degree programs, and increasing the number of students interested in and academically qualified for programs of graduate study.

LSAMP​ supports sustained and comprehensive approaches that facilitate achievement of long-term goal of increasing the number of students who earn doctorates in STEM fields, particularly those from populations currently underrepresented in STEM fields.

The LSAMP program provides comprehensive attention to those factors that promote achievement of undergraduate degrees, preparation for graduate study, and preparation for successful careers in the STEM disciplines.

 

GS-LSAMP is an alliance between eight four-year and one two year institutions of northern and central New Jersey.
