University Reaccreditation
UPDATE: New Jersey Institute of Technology successfully completed the 2022 self-study and is reaccredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) until 2030. The MSCHE Visiting Team commended NJIT's actions in support of the Commission's Standards for Accreditation and Requirements of Affiliation and provided only one recommendation regarding assessment of the university's General Education Requirements. Credit goes to the individuals listed below and to the entire university community.
New Jersey Institute of Technology is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), being granted initial accreditation in 1934. NJIT is now preparing for our re-accreditation in the spring of 2022 by conducting a comprehensive self-study that brings together the entire community in an honest self-assessment through which we identify our strengths and opportunities for improvement. This effort aligns with the MSCHE goals of "promot[ing] educational excellence across institutions with diverse missions, student populations, and resources." Because strategic planning informs our priority-driven self-study, the timeline for the process combines the activities for both our self-study and the development of our newest strategic plan, Building on a Strong Foundation—NJIT 2025.
