Residence Halls

Our residence halls are a community of approximately 2000 undergraduate and graduate students. NJIT has been a residential campus since 1978 when Redwood Hall opened its doors. Since the first students chose to live on-campus, more than 35 years ago, thousands of men and women have discovered the many benefits of campus life.

In addition to Redwood Hall, residents can live in Cypress, Oak, Honors, Laurel, or Greek Village halls. Each building has a unique setup, so please take the time to view the information about each hall. All resident rooms are furnished with beds, dressers, lights, desks, closet space and chairs. There is cable programming for each room and high-speed Internet access for each resident. Each room has a telephone jack that residents can contract with Verizon for service.
