The primary focus of NJIT’s AAPI ERG is to support initiatives that address the following:
- Networking, advocacy, and engagement - provides the opportunities to connect with others with similar needs, advocates for the needs and concerns of AAPI, and improves employee engagement by creating a more supportive and belonging workplace culture that recognizes the contributions of all
- Career and professional development - provides opportunities for leadership development, skill-building, networking, and helping other AAPI to advance their careers
- Community building and outreach - provides opportunities for AAPI employees to connect with others AAPI who share similar backgrounds and experiences
- Cultural awareness and events - provides opportunities to promote cultural awareness and sensitivity in the workplace, educating others about AAPI culture, traditions, and experiences
