In a combined effort by NJIT’s Young Alumni Club, the College of Computing Sciences and the Campus Center, speakers Neil Santorella and Carol Chang of the American Red Cross will present “Disaster Preparedness: How Do Universities and Individuals Prepare for Natural and Other Disasters and the Role of the American Red Cross” on Dec. 6 at 5:45 p.m. in Campus Center B35.

NASA Astronaut Headlines NJIT Bioengineering Conference:

New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) will host a national bioengineering conference whose keynote speaker, a NASA astronaut, will discuss the recent Space Shuttle Columbia disaster. Other speakers include bioengineers from Harvard, Yale, NJIT and other top universities. The conference will feature a high school robotics competition, with student teams designing robots that can perform surgical tasks.
