Zeyuan Qiu, PhD, an associate professor in the department of chemistry and environmental science at NJIT, published a journal article on watershed buffer zones that appeared in the November 2009 issue of Environmental Management. NJIT will receive the highest annual honor from the Newark Preservation and Landmarks Committee for the restoration of the first building on campus, a 35,000-square foot, three-story gothic Victorian castle known to generations of students, alumni, staff and faculty as Eberhardt Hall.
