Student Services

We assist students by providing career guidance through self assessment, development of self marketing skills, and career counseling. We also encourage experiential learning by providing opportunities for full-time and part-time employment, cooperative education, and community services.

List of Services for Students:

  • Job Listings - Students can register and manage their on-line career account. Students will be able to update and keep their registration information current, upload their resume to submit to employers, apply for jobs, and participate in On-Campus Recruitment and Co-op.
  • Careers in the Federal Government: Students in Service to America.  For more information, call 973.596.3100 or e-mail raines@njit.edu.
  • Career Advisement - The Student and Alumni Development team advises undergraduate and graduate students and alumni on career development and employment issues.
  • Career Fair - A diverse group of employment organizations participate in this unique event offering students and alumni an opportunity to network with employers seeking career personnel.
  • Career Resource Center - Over 500 reference materials for students and employers. Students have access to computer workstations through which on-line job searching can occur.
  • Cooperative Education - Eligible students have the opportunity to gain major related work experience and academic credits while working full or part time in their major field.
  • On-Campus Recruitment - On-Campus recruiting provides NJIT students and recent alumni the opportunity to meet one-on-one with recruiting employers from the public and private sectors.
  • Internships - General Internships are listed through CDS on-Line.
  • NJIT Career Portfolio - The Career Portfolio assists students in organizing and presenting their academic career to potential employers. The Career Portfolio will help students effectively promote their skills and competencies.
  • Civic Engagement - NJIT students may participate in several community service programs that promote civic engagement and social responsibility. Students can “give back” to the community through paid and/or volunteer opportunities.
  • Workshops - A variety of career development workshops are conducted to help students develop skills related to the job search and career development process.
