On-Campus Recruitment (OCR) Application Procedures for Graduating Students

Five Step Application Process for OCR

  1. Register with the CDS On-Line  job search system. You will need a password token to start your registration. Please call 973.596.3227 between 8:30am and 4:30pm to get the password token. Once registered, upload your one page resume and complete your profile. 
                               
  2. Attend a mandatory OCR Orientation Workshop or view the OCR Video Tutorial.
                    
  3. Complete and submit the online Resume Release Form.  The web link for this form is provided at the OCR Orientation Workshops and on the last slide of the OCR Video Tutorial.
       
  4. E-mail your career advisor to let her know that you have completed the registration process. She will review your on-line resume and notify you if changes need to be made. Once your resume has been approved, you will be activated to participate in the OCR program.  Click here to locate your career advisor.   
                                                                                                                                     
  5. After being activated for OCR, take the Moodle, Ace That Interview course to prepare for interviews.                           

Important Information for Students While Participating in On-Campus Recruitment

Information Sessions

Many companies conduct on-campus Information Sessions where recruiters provide detailed company information and you have the opportunity to ask questions. Some sessions are open to all students while others are open to selected candidates only. Information sessions are mandatory for all selected students. Most sessions are scheduled from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. the day before the scheduled interview. The Information Session schedule is available in Campbell Hall, 4th Floor and on-line.

Prepare for the Interview

It is your responsibility to be well prepared for the interview. We offer a variety of workshops and services that are designed to develop your interviewing skills. Also, company web site information, brochures, booklets, pamphlets, and reports are available for your review in the Career Resource Center. In addition, many companies have on-campus Information Sessions in which recruiters provide detailed company information and you are given the opportunity to ask questions.
