Aid for Weekend University Students
NJIT's Weekend University program, offered through the Continued Professional Education division, was designed to accommodate the busy lifestyle of high-tech professionals as they strive to achieve their education goals. Although heading back to school as an adult is not easy, the degree program lets adults take that first small step by studying part-time through a combination of classroom and online learning. In the program, a 24-credit Undergraduate Certificate or a 12-credit Graduate Certificate is the first credential earned in progress toward the full degree. In this way, working adults earn two credentials for the price of one.
Is finding the money to pay for your education an issue? Perhaps we can help! As a Weekend University student pursuing an undergraduate certificate, you can apply for private loans to assist in the cost of your education, and additonal graduate certificate aid is available as well. Additionally, scholarships are available from several sources. NJIT offers merit-based scholarships for undergraduate New Jersey residents and out-of-state students, and there is a wide variety outside scholarship opportunities available for the adult learner.
