Financial Aid

Awards for International Students

Most financial aid for international students comes in the form of scholarships or private loans.

Private Loans
Private loans are offered through private agencies and lending institutions (such as banks) other than universities or the federal government. If you are an international student with an eligible U.S. citizen or permanent-resident co-signer, you may qualify for a private loan.

International Presidential Scholarship
If you are an international undergraduate student and have a composite SAT score of 1150 or higher (critical reading and math), you may qualify for the International Presidential Scholarship, which eliminates the out-of-state tuition surcharge.

Albert Dorman Honors College Scholarship
If you have applied and have been accepted into the Albert Dorman Honors College, you may qualify for additional scholarship assistance to attend NJIT.
