The Alcoa Foundation, in partnership with national nonprofit Keep America Beautiful (KAB) and the College & University Recycling Coalition (CURC), has given 60 recycling bins to NJIT as part of its national bin grant program to colleges and universities throughout the country during the 2012 RecycleMania collegiate recycling competition.

New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) has appointed Joseph C. Muscari, executive vice president of Alcoa and group president of Asia and Latin America, to the NJIT Board of Overseers. The NJIT Board of Overseers works to give the university national and international recognition by supporting and encouraging research, establishing fellowships and scholarships and facilitating fund-raising for the benefit of the university’s academic programs.
