Make the Most of Your Winter Break!

Winter Session is a three-week term between the fall and spring semesters. Students can earn up to four hours of academic credit in three weeks. Choose from approximately 30 courses. The concentrated format allows students to focus on a single subject area which enhances the probability of achieving a good grade in the course.  Winter Session courses at NJIT are held on campus during the daytime and offer the same excellent instruction as that offered during the regular academic year.

Advantages of Winter Session

  • Winter Session allows students to advance to the next level of coursework by completing a prerequisite course (if offered).

  • Winter Session is an option for students to improve their grade point average, especially if they are on academic probation.

  • Winter Session provides an opportunity to satisfy an undergraduate requirement course (GUR) needed for graduation.

  • Winter Session will help you maintain eligibility for financial aid.

Note: The Campus Center will be closed from December 24, 2012 - January 2, 2013.
  • Please refer all questions and concerns about Winter Session to Center for First Year Students beginning January 2, 2013
