A contract cancelation appeal is a formal request to be released from your housing contract or associated charges. Appeals are for students facing significant changes in circumstances that:
a) prevent them from fulfilling the contract, and
b) cannot be resolved within the residence hall system.
Appeals are accepted with required documentation. Your appeal must clearly demonstrate a significant change in circumstances that has occurred since you signed the housing contract. Submitting an appeal does not guarantee its approval. Decisions (full, partial, or denial) are emailed in 7-10 business days. Please note that not wanting to take on additional loans does not meet the criteria for a contract release.
