Research Experiences for Teachers (RET) at NJIT
Participants accepted to the program will…
- Participate in a 6-week summer research experience from June 25 – August 2, 2012.
- Be part of a research group, with graduate students and faculty, engaged in studies of pharmaceutical particulate and composite systems.
- Develop and enhance skills and knowledge needed for scientific and engineering investigations.
- Collaborate on the development of standards-based lessons and modules that can be integrated into their curriculum.
- Receive a modest budget for supplies to support the implementation of the curriculum materials in their classrooms.
Stipend: $6,000 - contingent upon full participation in all activities, including one-day spring and fall workshops and 6-weeks during the summer of 2012.
Eligibility: The RET program is designed for high school science, technology, or pre-engineering teachers. Applications must be from a team of two teachers from a school.
