New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) one of the nation’s foremost public research technological universities prepares students to be leaders in the technology dependent economy of the 21st century.

The “hot area” in education and jobs in the late 20th century was computers.  The “hot area” now, and in the foreseeable future, is bio.

This workshop will inform you as to a wide range of educational and job opportunities in the bio and medical related fields.  Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Biophysics, Bioinformatics, Medical Informatics, Pharmaceutical Engineering are just a few areas where students can earn undergraduate and graduate degrees.

  • What are the differences between these programs?
  • What are the job opportunities?
  • What are the skills needed by incoming students for these majors, and
  • What will students do in these fields upon graduation?

These and other questions will be discussed in a panel format, with a group of experts from both academia and the healthcare fields, including representatives from major medical centers and industry.
