Pre-Engineering Instructional and Outreach Program (PrE-IOP)
PrE-IOP is a grant funded program by the New Jersey Commission on Higher Education. It is a collaboration of NJIT's Center for Pre-College Programs and Newark college of Engineering. The PrE-IOP is based on the assumption that effective science and pre-engineering curriculum and effective teacher training at the pre-college level, coupled with better understanding of the profession would lead to significant increases in engineering enrollment.
Elementary Science Outreach Program
The Elementary Science Outreach Program is part of the Center for Pre-college Programs at NJIT. The goal of the program is to enhance the teaching of hands-on science in K-8 classrooms by providing teachers with in-class support and resources so that they will be able to improve their science knowledge, develop and adapt hands on science activities and use everyday examples to illustrate science.
