Package Scanning

The mailroom uses a package scanning system manufactured by Brynka.  This system allows the mailroom to better track packages after they have been received by the mailroom.  This system also emails NJIT recipients to notify them that their package has been received in the mailroom.  It will also send an updated email when the package is delivered to the department.

Brynka Package Scanning Features include the following:

  • Cloud based system
  • Uses iPhone scanners
  • An employee database with email addresses is updated daily
  • The system emails employees upon
    • Delivery of packages to the NJIT mailroom
    • Delivery of packages to the department / end user
  • Bar coding of delivery stops 
    • Mailroom staff scan barcodes located at the various mailroom stops on campus
    • The system document and track mailroom staff delivery times to each location
    • The system provides reporting of delivery and efficiencies
