Leadership

Residence Life promotes many different leadership opportunities for students. These include the student-run Residence Hall Association, Peer Review Board, and many student employment options. The leadership section is here to provide interested students the information they need to get involved.

Residence Hall Organizations

Residence Hall Association (RHA) is a student run organization that focuses on all four NJIT Residence Halls. They are a sounding board for any issues or ideas that effect all four halls. RHA is also responsible for reporting to the two Residence Hall Councils. More information, including events and pictures, can be found on the RHA web-site.

There are two Residence Hall Councils (RHC) at NJIT. One concentrates on Laurel and Oak Halls, and the other concentrates on Redwood and Cypress Halls. Each RHC is responsible for sponsoring RHC events, sponsoring Resident Assistant (RA) events, and being a sounding board for their specific Residence Halls.

Both Hall Councils meet Mondays at 10:00 PM. The Laurel/Oak Hall Council meets in either Laurel Hall's RA Lounge or in the large study room across from the game room. The Redwood/Cypress Hall Council meets in the Cypress Hall Kitchen Lounge.

National Residence Hall Honorary

NRHH is the branch of NACURH (National Association of College and University Residence Halls) that recognizes student leadership and services for those who live in the residence halls.
