AECOM Technology Corporation
From creating transportation, energy and water systems, as well as new buildings and communities, to enhancing and sustaining environments, AECOM’s vision is to make the world a better place.
What differentiates AECOM is its collaborative way of working globally and delivering locally. A trusted partner to its clients, AECOM draws together teams of engineers, planners, architects, landscape architects, environmental specialists, economists, scientists, consultants, cost managers, construction managers, project managers and program managers — all dedicated to finding the most innovative and appropriate solutions and improving quality of life.
Formed from many of the world’s finest engineering, design, construction, consulting, environmental and
planning companies, AECOM’s technical expertise and creative excellence combine to provide fully integrated planning, design, engineering, environment, consulting, cost management, construction management, project management and program management capabilities. Today, AECOM is ranked as the world’s #1 engineering design firm, with 45,000 employees serving clients in approximately 125 countries around the globe.
AECOM’s marquee projects include work on the rebirth of New York City’s World Trade Center site; China’s Sutong Bridge, the world’s longest cable-stayed bridge; and London’s Crossrail program, Europe’s largest infrastructure effort in more than 50 years. All told, AECOM currently is active on seven of the world’s 17 largest infrastructure projects.
AECOM has an established partnership with NJIT and its Newark College of Engineering. In fact, the school’s Honors College is named after AECOM founding chairman and NJIT graduate, Albert A. Dorman. AECOM is active on the Advisory Board, the Albert Dorman Honors College Board of Visitors and the NJIT Alumni Association.
In addition, a $200,000 endowment provided by AECOM supplies scholarships to undergraduate NJIT students at the Honors College. The scholarship is available to Albert Dorman Honors College students majoring in the building sciences who demonstrate leadership potential, display a commitment to community service and express interest in interning at AECOM.
