Membership in a fraternity or sorority offers students opportunities to develop their leadership skills. Conferences, leadership retreats, leadership development programs, and officer training are ways students enhance their leadership ability as a member of the Greek community.
True leadership comes from experience.
As a member of Greek life, you'll find tremendous opportunities that will give you the experience to become an effective leader and will open the doors to the leadership skills within yourself that will prepare you for your career and life.
Fraternities and sororities are self-governing, giving members numerous leadership possibilities.
Greek students hold offices in nearly every major student organization on campus including the Student Senate, the Graduate Student Association, Nucleus, Vector, NSBE, HOST/SHPE, and the Student Activities Council, as well as holding important jobs such as residence assistants and Campus Center managers. With these highly visible and established positions, Greeks take an active part in shaping the NJIT campus and community. The Greek community is looking for quality members that will be active in their organizations and on campus.
We have various opportunities for Greeks; from new member programs to leadership retreats to diversity education. Greek Life strives to educate students about critical issues facing the campus community and enhances the students' leadership skills and experiences via:
