Tom Dallessio, director of NJIT’s Center for Resilient Design, recently spoke at a University of Calgary flood conference where experts addressed post flood fallout. The all-day symposium was organized by the U of C’s faculty of environmental design and the Institute for Public Health. It featured keynote speakers with expertise in architecture, psychology and disaster recovery. Dallessio helped share insight about how the province can be prepared for disasters like the 2013 Alberta floods. Media coverage of the event included CBC News, CTV News, Calgary Herald and Calgary Indians.
