Cesar Bandera, assistant professor at NJIT’s School of Management, will be a guest speaker at the Director’s Seminar of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Nov. 13. Hosted by the CDC Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response (OPHPR) in its Global Communications Center in Atlanta, the Director’s Seminar is a forum for world-renown leaders to engage with CDC staff in discussion of topics that relate to public health emergency preparedness and response. Seminar speakers address topics that profile scientific, programmatic, policy, and social factors that influence practice and may impact CDC’s national health security mission. Bandera will discuss the management of domestic and international mobile health campaigns. He will describe the current global infrastructure for mobile health, interoperability solutions developed under OPHPR, and the deployment of campaigns in the US and internationally using these solutions for health promotion and emergency response.
