CCS Capstone Showcase on Dec. 4

NJIT is hosting the Fall 2013 CCS Capstone Showcase on Dec. 4 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. in the Campus Center Atrium.  This semester’s showcase will feature two entrepreneurship teams with new products to the market, fourteen industry-sponsored projects, a six-department Android development company built and run by high school students and coached by NJIT students and four STEM projects related to education, Hurricane Sandy and surgery.

The event will begin with a ribbon cutting by Marek Rusinkiewicz, dean of the College of Computing Sciences.  For the first time, the judging panel will consist of future Capstone sponsors:  Ronald Chamberlain, chairman and surgeon-in chief, Department of Surgery, Saint Barnabas Medical Center; Julie Bauer and Don Szczepaniak, managers at Panasonic; Raj Guttha, executive manager of Avighna Global Solutions LLC; and John Dougherty, industry expert in software engineering for more than 30 years.  NJIT Provost and Senior Executive Vice President Fadi Deek will present awards at 5 p.m.
