NJIT Greeks Win Big at NGLA Awards Banquet

NJIT’s Greek Community made history during the recent Northeast Greek Leadership Association (NGLA) Awards Banquet. NJIT received a total of five awards and five honorable mentions and was mentioned more times during the awards ceremony than any other delegation at the conference.

Anthony Araujo, Alpha Sigma Phi, received the individual Greek Leader of Distinction Award, given to only about 15 students in the Northeast. 

Group awards include: Theta Chi Fraternity, Amy Vojta Impact Award for Public Relations and Amy Vojta Membership Recruitment Award; Sigma Psi Kappa Local Sorority, Amy Vojta Impact Award for Recruitment; and Kappa Xi Kappa Local Fraternity, Amy Vojta Impact Award for Service.

Group honorable mentions were awarded to: Theta Chi Fraternity for risk reduction programming and philanthropy and service, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity Colony for multicultural programming, Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity for membership recruitment and Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority for philanthropy and service.
