Granular and Multiphase Flows Colloquium on March 12

On March 12, Kit Windows-Yule will give a lecture entitled "When Size Doesn't Matter - Density and Inelasticity-Induced Segregation in Vibrated Granular Systems" as part of the Spring 2014 Granular and Multiphase Flows Colloquium series under the sponsorship of the Granular Science Laboratory through Elsevier. The speaker is an experimental physicist at the University of Birmingham (UK), where he is using positron emission tracking to image flows of particle-based systems. The event will take place from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. in the Mechanical Engineering Center, Room 221.
