NJIT's Associate Director of Graduate Studies Appointed to Center for Hispanic Policy Research and Development Advisory Committee

Clarisa Gonzalez Lenahan (far left), Associate Director of Graduate Studies at NJIT, was named to the State Department's Center for Hispanic Policy Research and Development Advisory Committee. She was sworn in by Lt. Governor and Secretary of State Kim Guadagno at a ceremony on June 9, 2014.

Clarisa Gonzalez Lenahan, of Elizabeth, Associate Director of Graduate Studies at NJIT, was named to the State Department’s Center for Hispanic Policy Research and Development Advisory Committee. She was sworn in by Lt. Governor and Secretary of State Kim Guadagno at a ceremony held on June 9, 2014 at the State of New Jersey Department of State in Trenton.

The CHPRD was established in 1975 to address the needs of the Hispanic community.  Formerly known as the Office of Hispanic Affairs, the CHPRD seeks to empower, provide financial support and technical assistance to primarily Hispanic community-based organizations throughout New Jersey and also ensures the executive and legislative branches are informed of legislative initiatives with potential impact on the Hispanic community.
