Event & Game Day Parking


Starting July 1, 2022 event participants and athletic game day spectators should purchase NJIT event parking for the Science & Technology Park Garage (STPG) located at 42 Wilsey Street - just one block west of the Wellness and Events Center (WEC).

Visitor Parking

Below are two options to purchase event parking at NJIT.

In-lane Parking Payment Kiosk:

One lane of the Science & Technology Park Garage located at 42 Wilsey Street is equipped with an in‐ lane credit card payment kiosk. This kiosk will allow event parking payment via credit card only. This lane is to your right as you enter SPTG. The cost is $10.

Kiosk Procedure (to be done as you enter the garage):

  • Drive up to the credit card kiosk
  • Follow instructions to purchase event parking via credit card
  • When you pull your voucher, the gate will allow for one entry
  • Park as long as needed (for the event) then exit by 11:00PM (the exit gate will allow for free exit)

Online SpotHero App:

A SpotHero parking app located at www.spothero.com is open to the general public and is intended for visitors of WEC events and athletic sporting activities at NJIT.  The cost is $10 plus a SpotHero fee.

SpotHero Procedure (to be done before you drive to NJIT):

  • Go to www.spothero.com
  • Search for “NJIT”
  • Enter the event date and time with the following restrictions:
    • Mon–Fri, 4:30pm-10:45pm  or  Sat-Sun, 6:45am-10:45pm
    • Do not enter times outside of this range as you will not see the 42 Wilsey Street location
  • Select the 42 Wilsey Street location
  • Create a SpotHero account or continue as a guest
  • You will receive a QR code voucher via email for a one time use at: STPG (42 Wilsey Street)
  • Print the QR code or display it on your smartphone device.
    • The sizing of the QR code should be about 1 inch by 1 inch
    • Printed paper must be trimmed or folded so that the QR code can be inserted into the 4‐inch wide scanner
  • When you arrive at the STPG parking deck, present the QR code into the scanner (face up) until you hear a beep
  • The parking gate will lift for one entry
  • Park as long as needed (for the event) then exit by 11:00PM (the exit gate will allow for free exit)
