Subject: Tragedy at VA Tech
We are all shocked and saddened to learn of the senseless loss of life at Virginia Tech yesterday. Below is a brief note of condolence and prayers sent to the Virginia Tech President and community.
“Dear President Steger and the Virginia Tech Community,
On behalf of the NJIT community, please accept our condolences and prayers for the horrific loss of life on your campus yesterday. It is with heavy hearts that we offer to you and your community assistance in the days and months ahead. Please let me know whatever may be needed.”
Members of the NJIT community in need of assistance in the face of this immense tragedy should avail themselves of the services of the NJIT Counseling Center located at Campbell Hall, Room 205 (extension 3414) or the Employee Assistance Program, located at 240 EDC1 as well as 500 Fenster Hall—HR offices (extension 3293). Please be assured that, as always, we continue aggressively to review NJIT security procedures and practices.
