Subject: NJIT Mobilizes For Haitian Relief

The NJIT Community is deeply saddened by the tragic events in Haiti and by the magnitude of human suffering. We are mobilizing to help.

As of today, a Haitian Relief Task Force is coordinating the efforts of NJIT students, faculty, staff, departments and organizations to gather resources for the victims of the earthquake. Initially, the Task Force will focus on collecting donations on behalf of UNICEF in the Campus Center and many of the College Dean’s Office’s across campus. UNICEF was chosen as the initial recipient of funds as 100% of the money will go directly to the victims and that the George Harrison Fund is currently offering a dollar-to-dollar match for UNICEF donations. All collection sites will be operational this coming Tuesday.
