 | Ph.D., joined New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) as the university's seventh president in July 2002. With degrees in mechanical engineering and expertise in combustion and heat transfer, he has a wide background in university research, teaching and administration with extensive experience in program development, fundraising and federal relations. He came to NJIT from Mississippi State University where he served as vice president for research. Inauguration ceremonies were held on May 2, 2003. |
