The Department of Biomedical Engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) invites applications for the tenure-track faculty positions. Collaborative research and core facilities within our University Heights community include the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - NJ Medical School, Neurological Institute of NJ, Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience at Rutgers Newark, NJ Center for Biomaterials, Kessler Rehabilitation Institute and the Public Health Research Institute (PHRI). Integrating Healthcare, Life Science and Engineering through the research of cellular systems, medical devices and informatics is part of the strategic plan of NJIT. 

Candidates must have an earned doctorate in biomedical engineering or a related field. The successful candidate(s) will have a sound vision of their research areas relating to biomedical imaging, neural engineering, tissue engineering and biomaterials. Candidates in addition to strong publication record should have experience in teaching and grant funding.

At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
