Undergraduate Curriculum Review Committee
The Undergraduate Curriculum Review Committee facilitates the process of curriculum review and reform. It also fosters communications regarding curriculum revision among departments, colleges and the general faculty.
The committee reviews all new courses and changes to existing courses from all departments to determine the appropriate administrative review process to be used. With regard to general university requirements (GUR), the committee reviews the proposed course (or change) for academic content and makes appropriate recommendations to the Committee on Academic Affairs. It also reviews curriculum changes not affecting GUR to determine whether they involve one department, more than one department within one college, or departments from more than one college, and to assure that the proposals have undergone the approval process appropriate to that category of revision. The committee acts as an advisory committee to the Committee on Academic Affairs and to the Provost on other curriculum matters.
