Why NJIT?
I chose NJIT because of its great Architecture program and its affordability. Once I got to NJIT I found that it is much more than just architecture. I found that getting involved the best thing I could have done. In the past three years I have joined many different clubs and been a part a vast number of organizations that allowed me to meet so many of my close friends.
Why Architecture?
The reason why I decided to study architecture was for the simple reason that I thought architecture was a method in which I could improve the lives of others. Architecture creates dynamic spaces that people live, work, and play in.
What do you like best at NJIT?
I like the small campus feel of NJIT the best. Since NJIT has a small campus and a medium sized student body it allows for you to meet so many people. Whenever you walk across campus there is always someone you know; it’s always nice to see a familiar face.
Why Connections Miniversity?
CMV is very dear to my heart. Over the past few years I have been able to have the opportunity to transform the program into an interactive, fun experience for incoming freshman. I think that I have had a great time here at NJIT and I want to share that with the incoming freshman each year.
Clubs & Organizations:
Greatest Accomplishment:
Being a good person.
Career Goals:
Over the past three years I have worked as an architectural intern. At the firm I have had the opportunity to work on master planning projects and at school last year one of our projects included a master planning section. Through these experiences I have become interested in urban planning and community design, which I hope to gain my master degree in after I graduate from NJIT. This career decision I believe allows me to accomplish my goals in architecture and also be involved in city politics, which I also find very interesting.
Favorite Music:
Rock and Alternative Rock
Favorite Movie:
The Bourne Series, V for Vendetta, Transformers
Favorite Book:
Angels and Demons, Davinci Code, Harry Potter Series
Favorite Class:
My favorite class would have to be my Envisioning Newark architectural elective, which takes an in depth look at the city of Newark, past, present, and future. Also I really like all of my architectural history courses.
