Why NJIT?

NJIT has the best architecture program in New Jersey and is also the only one with a 5 year degree professional program. It’s also very close to home, and since I go home on weekends, that’s definitely a plus.

Why Architecture?

I love to design I’ve also always wanted to inspire and impact people through something that has come from me. Through architecture, my work can affect people and be admired long after I am gone.

What do you like best at NJIT?

NJIT is very diverse. Coming from a town that has a mix of different ethnic backgrounds, I wanted to come to a college that would be the same.

Why Connections Miniversity?

I didn’t come on a campus tour before I chose to attend NJIT as a freshman so Connections Miniversity was a tremendous help to me in not only seeing the campus but also things that I couldn’t see – the inside tips about how to survive college. It can be a scary experience going from high school to college - I want be one of the people that can ease the anxiety and show the freshman that if it’s not as bad as they might think – we’re a very loving campus, to all grade levels.

Clubs & Organizations:

Connections Miniversity, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship

Career Goals:

Become an architect in a lead firm

Favorite Music:

Gospel, Conteporary Christian

Favorite Movie:

Wow, there’s so many…I love Will Smith in Enemy of the State. Well I kind of just love Will Smith in general, lol

Favorite Book:

There’s a few of these too….but one of my favorites would probably be Defining Moments by Jacquelin Thomas.

Favorite Class:

Studio, lol….even though it’s my hardest class. I feel like I’ve grown and learned so much through it – I see things completely differently now. I’m not the same person I was when I walked into class the first day.
