Why NJIT?

The great programs, the challenging academics, the diverse campus.

Why Chemical Engineering?

Chemical engineering is an extremely versatile major. I love chemistry and I love all of the opportunities the engineering aspect can offer. I can literally go into almost any industry.

What do you like best at NJIT?

The people. Everyone is so different, yet we go to a tech school so everyone’s majors have something in common.  I like that our school focuses primarily on math and science.

Why Connections Miniversity?

I had a really good experience at Connections Miniversity. I met a good deal of my current close college friends, some of which are in my major. I also became friends and formed connections with some the coordinators I met at CMV. Also, my 18th birthday happened to fall on the second day of my CMV session :).  As soon as CMV was done I knew I wanted to be a cluster coordinator and started inquiring about applying for the program the first week I was a student at NJIT.

Clubs & Organizations:

Cluster Coordinator – Connections Miniversity, Secretary – Residence Hall Association, Member – Student Activities Council, Member – Cypress Hall Council, and pledging for a sorority.

Greatest Accomplishment:

Achieving my black belts in tae kwon do.

Career Goals:

To achieve my Ph.D and go into research and development.

Favorite Music:

Depends on my mood. If I’m happy I want really upbeat music like Ne-yo, Pussycat Dolls, Broadway Musicals, and assorted techno. If it’s a bad day it’s metal like Drowning Pool and Disturbed. And if I’m really sad, I’ll play stuff like Evanescence.

Favorite Movie:

Beauty and the Beast, Nightmare Before Christmas, Pride and Prejudice.

Favorite Book:

  Ella Enchanted
