Teresa Higgins is currently in her junior year of study as a chemistry major.  She grew up in Whiting, NJ and graduated from Manchester Township High in 2006.  Here at NJIT, she is one of the captains for the Swim Team.  This will be her second year in the Connections Miniversity Program.

Why NJIT?

I chose NJIT due to its strong academic programs.

Why Chemistry?

I chose chemistry for reasons I have yet to discover.  It’s something that I’m good at and seem to ‘click’ with.

What do you like best at NJIT?

The best aspect of NJIT would be my friends.  They are all motivated academically which builds for a friendly competitive environment where I want to succeed as they are doing so.

Why Connections Miniversity?

Connections Miniversity provided me with the chance to interact and meet with people that all attend the same school but are entirely unique from each other.

Clubs & Organizations:

I am a member of the ODK Honor Leadership Society, member of S.A.A.C. (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee), and a 3 year varsity winner on the NJIT Swim Team.

Greatest Accomplishment:

I don’t have a greatest accomplishment yet.  Give me a few more years.

Career Goals:

In the future I hope to graduate.  The remainder lies in unchartered water.
